Cheran

Cheran is a Tamil director known for the films Vetri Kodi Kattu (2000), Autograph(2004) and Thavamai Thavamirundhu (2005). His films usually have a strong social message as the theme. His directorial debut was the film Bharathi Kannamma (1997), which was a big hit at the box office.He has won National Film Award for the films Vetri Kodi Kattu, Autograph, Thavamai Thavamirundhu and Aadum Koothu.He also has Filmfare Award for Best Director for the films Porkkaalam(1997), Desiya Geetham (1998), Pandavar Bhoomi (2001) and Autograph (2004). He has Tamil Nadu State Film Awards to his credit.He also starred in several films like Solla Marandha Kadhai (2002), Autograph (2004), Aadum Koothu (2007), Raman Thediya Seethai (2008) and Chennaiyil Oru Naal (2013).His upcoming project is the film Yemito Ee Maya, which is set to release in December 2015.
