Rami Malek

Born into a family of Egyptian immigrants, Rami Malek is an American actor who began his career with a guest-starring role in Gilmore Girls in 2004. The blink-and-you-miss role did not do much for his career until he appeared in the war drama Over There (2005), which helped him gain a Screen Actors Guild card. He made his debut in Hollywood in a recurring role as Pharaoh Ahkmenrah in the Night at the Museum trilogy starring Ben Stiller. It was not until his portrayal of Corporal Merriell "Snafu" Shelton on the Emmy Award-winning mini-series The Pacific (2010), that he was noticed for his acting prowess by veteran actor Tom Hanks, who was acting as an executive producer for the same.
