Aleya Sen
Aleya commenced her career as an assistant director under the renowned director Pradeep Sarkar, in Delhi. She moved to Mumbai soon. In 2004, Aleya Sen along with Amit Sharma and Hemant Bhandari, established Chrome Pictures Pvt. Ltd, a production house in Mumbai. Initially functioning as a directional team, Aleya and Amit worked on famous campaigns like Hanes 'no-tag' and UTI,Tide (featured in Shots and Luerzer's TV Archives), Idea, Pepsi, CocaCola, Airtel, Future Group to name a few. In 2012, Under her solo direction, Aleya's widely acclaimed work includes working with film and Television actors like Abhishek Bachchan (Idea campaign), Amitabh Bachchan (KBC promos and Zen Mobile), ShahRukh Khan(NDTV), Akshay Kumar (Rasna), Shankar Mahadevan (Krishna Tulsi), Nafisa Ali (Tanishq), Shahid Kapoor (VIP suitcase), Saif Ali Khan ( Lays) Tisca Chopra (Godrej) and other famous personalities. She has collaborated with reputed agencies like Lowe Lintas, JWT, McCann, Contract, Ogilvy and Mather, Mudra, BBDO, Leo Burnett, FCB Ulka, Bates, Rediffusion, and many more. In 2013, she directed the advertisement of the highly critical campaign - '18-Again'. The film was widely discussed on both national and international news forums like The Guardian, BBC, Huffington Post, Young Turks, New York Daily News Afaqs!, The Daily Mail and Jezebel. Pundits of the advertising industry appreciated the execution of the advertisement without the cliched skin show, low on vulgarity and keeping the focus of the commercial on the female protagonist. The advertisement is featured in Luerzer's TV Archives of 2013. Her "Wagh Bakri" film created road block on all channels on 26th Jan 2015 and won lot of accolades & recognition. She also directed a Music video for Salaam Bombay Foundation Anti-Tobacco Campaign' with acclaimed singer Shaan. Song by Amaal Mallik and Shaan, Music Video Directed by Aleya 'Tum ho toh Lagta Hai' with T series, featuring Tapsee Pannu and Saqib b Salim, is one of the most viewed videos on Youtube. Her directional debut feature film Dil Juunglee featuring the same cast released in March 2018.
