John Magaro
John Magaro was born in Akron, Ohio in 1983. The son of Italian-American and Jewish parents, he grew up in Munroe Falls, a suburb of Akron, and began appearing in local theater productions in and around Cleveland and Akron.
In film, Magaro has starred in Paramount's "Overlord," directed by Julius Avery. He was also seen in Reginald Hudlin "Marshall," alongside Chadwick Boseman, in Netflix's "War Machine," starring Brad Pitt, and also in Paramount's award winning "The Big Short." "The Big Short" was awarded Best Ensemble by the National Board of Review for 2015 and received the Ensemble Performance Award at the Palm Springs Film Festival, as well as being nominated for a Critics' Choice Award for Best Acting Ensemble and a SAG award for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture. Additionally, Magaro earned a Hollywood Spotlight Award from the Hollywood Film Awards for his performance in 2012's "Not Fade Away."
