The movie, which is set against the backdrop of north Chennai, narrates the story of several characters that live in and around a housing colony. There’s Sathya (Charuhasan), an aged don who’s powerful enough to control the local politicians, his estranged lady love Geetha (Saroja), Jail Pandi (Anand Pandi), Nayudu (Janagaraj), an ex-army man, and so on. Pandi, who falls in love with Nayudu’s daughter, Jeni (Sri Pallavi), dreams of marrying her. Despite several warnings from Jeni and Nayudu, Pandi confesses his feelings for her. How he tries to convince her forms the rest of the story.

Though the film has a laid-back narration with unwanted songs and ineffective emotion scenes of Pandi, what makes it watchable is Pallavi’s characterisation and performance. Though there are a few comedy scenes featuring transgenders, the director has ensured that they aren’t looked down upon. The hardships of the third gender are depicted in a respectful manner and the relation between a male character and a transgender has been portrayed with all dignity. The much-hyped character of Charuhasan and his pairing with Saroja falls flat. Both the characters are among the slew of underwritten roles in the film.
