KC Sundaram’s July Kaatril is a breezy movie which is narrated in various chapters – thanks to the protagonist’s romantic relationship with three different girls. Rajeev (Anant Nag), who works in a private firm, hails from a middle-class family, and his world revolves parents and friend (Sathish). After meeting Shreya (Anju Kurian) several times, he falls in love with her and the two of them decide to take their relationship forward.

However, he reconsiders his decision after he falls head over heels in love with Revathy (Samyukta). He convinces himself that Revathy is the girl with whom he should share his life and conveys the same with his parents and friend. But little does he know that Revathy gets annoyed with his nature. The two of them discuss their issue and try to sort it out though fate had other plans.

Rajeev, who takes a much-needed vacation, heads to an exotic place and decides what he should do in life.

The movie has some pleasant cinematography by Dimal Xavier Edwards, which goes well with the mood of the movie – the colour pattern and the beautiful frames of Kodaikanal, Goa and other places have been shot beautifully. Joshua Sridhar’s music is another positive aspect of the film apart from the interestingly-written female characters played by Anju, Samyukta and Paloma. The three of them and the protagonist have been portrayed elegantly in terms of the way they express their feelings. Falling in love, break-ups and other intrinsic details pertaining to relationships are showcased without any verbal or physical abuse, alcoholism, etc.
