Review of movie Kudimagan

If you cannot stand the badly made anti-smoking disclaimer videos that are played at the start of films featuring smoking scenes, you can very well give Kudimagan a miss. For, despite its noble intentions, Kudimagan is nothing but a two-hour PSA against liquor consumption. And it is as crudely made as the anti-smoking disclaimer videos. 

The story revolves around Kandhan (Jaikumar), a simple villager who calls himself “indha ulagathulaye romba sandhoshama irukkaravan”, and his descent into disrepute once he gets addicted to liquor. The director drives home his message with TV soap opera-ish filmmaking and the subtlety of a sledgehammer.
