The film’s lead actor, Mukesh Bharti, has a total of three expressions in the entirety of the film. The first is when he smiles, the second one is when he’s feeling sad, and the third is where he meets with an accident and grimaces. Besides that, there isn’t much he can do. The actress, Madalsa Sharma, is slightly better than him, which doesn’t say much for her craft either. The story is cliched and in some parts does not even make sense. How do you explain a situation, where a father agrees to marry his only daughter to a guy whose parents he doesn’t know about? But all hell breaks loose when he finds out who they are and throws a major tantrum, mid-engagement. The couple then decide to elope, which the uninteresting second half is made up of.
With a story right out of a bad 90s film and Bapi Lahiri at his campiest best in the music department, 'Mausam Ikrar Ke…' has very little to offer. Know about those movies which are good because they are so bad? Well this is it. If you are a fan of movies like Kanti Shah’s 'Gunda', this one is right up your alley.
