STORY: Three best friends fall in love with a simple, stay-at-home girl from their neighbourhood, who (unintentionally) pits them against one another. But, as love flies out of the window, the three men realise that their beloved is more than what meets the eye

REVIEW: Three friends-turned-foes – Karan (Raghav Juyal), Abhishek (Punit Pathak) and Salim (Dharmesh Yelande) – go out of their way to win the love of their ‘gharelu’ damsel in distress Sheetal (Isha Rikhi) and spend whatever little they earn (and even life savings) trying to win the trust of her parents and eliminate the family’sfinancial woes.

‘Nawabzaade’ is your run-of-the-mill romcom that brings absolutely nothing new to the table. The girl woos, the guys fight over her only to realise later that they’ve been played. That's it; the story doesn't say anything more.

Jayesh Pradhan has tried to pull off another bromance this year with ‘Nawabzaade’ but his take on the subject is so ho-hum that it goes haywire right from the word go. The second half is painfully pedantic and for a straight-laced romcom, the end is a little too bizarre.
