The Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar-starrer 2.0 witnessed substantial growth on its third day at the box-office. The sci-fi film, directed by S Shankar, grew by 23.46 per cent as it added Rs 25 crore more to its kitty. Its total collection, after a three-day run in the cinemas, stands at Rs 63.25 crore. Earlier on Thursday, the film saw a stupendous opening as it fetched Rs 20.25 crore. On Friday, the earnings went a bit lower and it ended up earning not more than Rs 18 crore.
Going by the current trend, 2.0 will witness further growth in its collections today i.e. Sunday. According to film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh, the circuits that were performing low have picked up and therefore, a big total on Sunday is on the cards. Mr Adarsh, on his Twitter account, also posted the latest figures of the film.
