David Heyman
The founder of Heyday Films, British film producer David Heyman is best known for bankrolling all the eight installments of the celebrated Harry Potter film series. After starting out as a production assistant in the late 1980s, Heyman debuted as an independent film producer with the 1992 crime film Juice. Subsequently, he founded Heyday Films in 1997, and the acquisition of the film rights for the J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter novels marked a turning point in the producer's career. Heyman has produced a number of other popular films besides the Harry Potter series, notable among which are I Am Legend (2007), The Boy in the Striped Pajamas (2008), Gravity (2013), Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them (2016) and Paddington 2 (2018).
