Deepak Bandekar
Deepak Bandekar, born and brought up in Goa, comes from a 4 generation old Business Family, based in Goa.
After completing his schooling, he moved on to graduate with a Degree in Bachelor of Civil Engineering from M.I.T. Pune in 2001.
With sufficient technical education, he was ready to join his family business in which were then into Mining, Exports and Shipping. But, in order to take the responsibilities of his predecessor's legacies, he felt the need to gain knowledge in the Business World too. So he went on to do his Masters in International Business and Economics at The University of Reading, London.
Equipped with the right educational qualifications of Engineering and Business Management, on joining the family business, he set out on business expansion, diversifying the Group's Businesses into Tourism and Hospitality, Aviation, Real Estate and Constructions.
By acquiring Hotel Properties in Goa, he was involved in expanding the Group's interests further into Hospitality. He was the first Goan entrepreneur to introduce the unique concept of Heli Tourism in Goa, a Tourism related activity involving Helicopter Rides and Charters. This activity then moved on to other parts of India.
With growing business, Corporate Social Responsibility was equally important to him and his family. They set up a Charitable Trust in the name of his late Father and Grandparents, which today are very deeply involved in doing Charity to various Social and Non Governments bodies in Goa and across India, including building of Temples, Schools, Colleges and Community Centres across Goa for the needy.
An ardent lover of nature, music, art and travelling across India and the World, brought him into the Filmy Duniya, with the upcoming movie Ishq Tera, produced by his company Big Banner Entertainment and Media LLP.
