Filmmaker Sanjib Dey, who wrote and directed III Smoking Barrels, said in a statement, “The whole tradition of cinema in the Northeast was quite strong. There was a time when films from this region where highly revered and they did good business too. But with the rise of multiple insurgency movements in the last few decades, I have no doubt that cinema has suffered the most in this region.
His film stars artistes Indraneil Sengupta, Subrat Dutta, Shiny Gogoi, Siddharth Boro, Mandakini Goswami and Amrita Chattopadhyay. Dey worked on it for two years and shot it at some natural and beautiful locations across three international borders — Myanmar, Bangladesh and Bhutan. The filmmaker has incorporated six different languages in the film, including Bengali, Assamese, Manipuri and Hindi.

As per the genre of the movie we are expecting that this movie may touch 30 crores as high gross collection.
